Cora Lee Mitchell

Cora Lee Mitchell, 74, of Sneads, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 at her residence. Ms. Mitchell was born in Lynchburg, TN., lived in Jackson County since 1952, retired from Florida State Hospital and a longtime member of El Bethel Assembly of God Church. Survivors include one daughter, Janice Sheffield of Sneads; three sisters, Elise Darsey and husband Glenn of Florence, Al., Mary Odis Pitts and husband Ross,; Ada Alice Taylor all of Faystville, TN.; two grandchildren, Jeania Hamilton and husband, Steven, Jody Sheffield all of Sneads; five great-grandchildren, Brice, Evan and Kason Hamilton, Tristan and Icy Lee Sheffield. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Revs. Michael Stephens and William Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Dykes Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
