James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Fl 32446 8504822332 Charlotte Ann Mitchell, 47, of Marianna went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at The South East Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Charlotte was born and raised in Jackson County. She devoted her life to helping others by working with Juvenile Delinquents and Person with Disabilities. She was an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she had attended all her life. She was a wonderful person and a faithful friend. She was well loved by all especially her family. Her favorite hobby was collecting owl whatnots. She especially treasured her niece Myra and nephew Beau. Charlotte is survived by her father, Zack (Jack) Mitchell, her mother, Mervyne Mitchell; her sister, Belinda Mitchell and her husband Johnnie Miles; niece Myra Miles; nephew, Beau Miles all of Grand Ridge. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday at Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
