Charles McGuirk

Charles (Chuck) McGuirk, 86, of Marianna, Florida, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Marianna Home of Mary and Dean Wickham. He was born August 1, 1938, in Troy, New York, to the late Harold and Josephine McGuirk.

He was a devoted, generous, and caring father who always had a smile no matter where he was. Charles worked as a full-time factory worker at Norton Manufacturing in Watervliet, New York, until his retirement. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa McGuirk.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Mary Wickham and her children, Jonathan and Justin all of Marianna, FL, Linda Shumpis of Medina, OH and her children, Marylin and Jessica of Marianna, Nicholas of Auston, TX; sons, Charles McGuirk of Concord Virginia and his children, Mark of Syracuse, NY, Daniel of Concord, VA, and Gregory of Deland, FL, Harold McGuirk of Cocoa Beach, FL and his children, Shawn, Jashua and Alecia of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Stephen of Marianna, and his children, Triston, Timothy Stephan Jr., Tylor, Stephany, Tiffany, Joselin and Ava; Charles is also survived by his older sister, Muriel Galligan (92). Her love and support were a source of strength for him throughout his life.

Funeral services will be 5 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Chaplin Rodger Cossin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:30 PM.

Family has requested flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Society, P O Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 in his memory.
