James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Fl 32446 Charles E. Jones, 81, of Sneads died Saturday, December 11, 2010 in Marianna. Mr. Jones was born in Washington County, lived most of his life in Jackson County. He was a Master Mason and a member of Gee Lodge #21 for more than 40 years. Mr. Jones was a member of Sneads First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a senior Deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Stevie Jones and Maudie Boyette Jones; one brother, William Clinton Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 62 years, LaVelle Scott Jones; one son, Bill Jones and wife, Jennifer of Panama City; one daughter, Cindy Abel and husband, Paul of Sneads,; three grandchildren, Chris Abel and wife, Pati of Sneads; William Jones, Maggie Jones both of Panama City; one great-granddaughter, Faith Abel; other extended family. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Sneads First Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. John Jackson and James Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Hill Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec 14, at 1 p.m., one hour prior to services at the church.
