Johnson, 65, of Bascom died Sunday September 20, 2009 at South East Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Preceded in death by his parents, James Alexander and Dannie Green Johnson; a sister Venaria Beggs; his son, Anthony Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Johnson; daughter, Melissa Hewett and husband, Jason all of Bascom; four grandchildren, Chaison Johnson, Kirsten, Kaylee and Blayne Hewett; one sister, Evon Darby of Chattahoochee. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23 at Welcome Assembly of God in Dellwood with Revs. Shelton Kindig, Robert Simmons and John Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
