Charles Howell Hatcher

Charles Howell "C H" Hatcher Jr., 78 of Grand Ridge entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 18, 2008 after a brief illness. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Hatcher retired with 36 years of service with the Florida Forestry Department and was a life time farmer and attended El Bethel Assembly of God Church. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed dearly by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Ealier Jane Neel Hatcher; one brother, Shellie Hatcher. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Hatcher of Grand Ridge; Two sons, Gene Hatcher and wife Marilyn of Dothan, Dennis Hatcher and wife Marjorie Ford of Bascom; two daughters, Pam Williams and husband Maxwell of Marianna, Ruth Wombacher and husband Doug of Miami; two brothers, William Hatcher and wife Barbara and Millard Hatcher and wife Emmalene all of Grand Ridge. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, September 21, 2008 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Michael Stephens and Rev. Jerome Lewis officiating, burial will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, September 20, 2008 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church in Grand Ridge.
