Charles E. "Ducky" Johnson, 60, of Grand Ridge, passed away Sunday, April 22nd. at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center with his wife and children at his bedside. He was the owner of "Ducky" Johnson House Movers for the past 38 years and owner of "Blondies" Food and Fuel. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Noah A. Johnson, three brothers, Blondie, Cleve and Carlos Johnson; a daughter in law, Lori Ann Johnson; infant grandchildren, Sarah and Charles Gainer; a brother in law, Doug Cloud; father and mother in law, Erwin and Vernice Mae Cloud. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Carolyn R. Johnson; two sons, Tracy Johnson and wife Sheela, Charlie Johnson and wife Nicole; two daughters, Lori Johnson Chason and husband Joseph and Kimberly Johnson Gainer; his mother, Jeanette Price Johnson; ten grandchildren, Noah Damian, Ireland Jade and Johnny Johnson, Jessie Hosey and Christina Berry, Londyn, Cambraige, Zane Chason, Morgan and Turner Gainer; one goddaughter, Nikki Shaw; eight brothers Clarence Wayne Johnson and wife Carolyn, Bruce Johnson and wife Wilma, Charles F. Johnson and wife Shirley, Calvin Johnson and wife Charlene, Curtis Johnson and wife Wendel, Carl Johnson and wife Shirley, Clifton Johnson and wife Linda and Clarence E. Johnson and wife Yvonne; six sisters, Jane Dykes and husband Billy, Sybil Cloud and friend Donnie Fowler, Bertha Clayton, Dimple Poloronis, Eulene Trurig and husband Don and Susie Hutto and husband James; a host of nieces and nephews and a devoted secretary of many years, Ellen Shaw. Graveside funeral services will held at 10 am, Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Gardens located on Sand Ridge Church Road with Revs. William Walker, Kelvin Johnson and James Barwick officiating, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Mr. Johnson's home, 7095 Providence Church Road in Grand Ridge. Asked to service as pallbearers will be the crew of Ducky Johnson House Movers. Flowers will be accepted, if desired, donations may be made to the Childrens Miracle Network at Shands Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 100386, Gainesville, Florida 32610 in honor of his love for children. .
