Charles Reece Bramlett

Charles Reece Bramlett, 85, of Marianna, FL went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2014. He died peacefully in his home. Reece was born April 7, 1929 in Humphries County, Tennessee to the late Lottie Mae Bramlett Harris. He retired from the United States Air Force where he worked in communications. He was very proud of being able to serve our country. Upon retirement, Reece started his next career with his wife, Katie doing upholstery for 40 plus years. Mr. Bramlett was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Marianna, FL. He cherished the fellowship and friendship he shared with his Sunday School class . The people whose lives he touched were vast and widespread. Reece loved the Lord with all his heart and was looking forward to walking on streets of gold. Our loss is Heaven's gain. He will be greatly missed. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Katie Lou Blankenship Bramlett who precede him in death; the loving daddy to his four daughters Loretta Bramlett, Beverly Bramlett, Scherry Bradford all of Marianna, FL, Christie Young and her husband Alan Young of Panama City, FL.; devoted Poppa to his two granddaughters Katie Bradford Osborne and her husband Dr. Christopher Osborne of Denver, CO and Joy (Bradford) Shannon and her husband Travis Shannon of Tallahassee, FL and great-grandchildren Ana Gray Elette Osborne of Denver, Co and Eli Nathan Shannon of Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Charles Fraizer officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Cemetery with Military Honors. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 9 am until funeral time, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Maddox Chapel.
