Cecil Wayne Harris

Cecil Wayne Harris, 59 of Marianna, Fl died Friday January 14, 2011. The son of Frank and Ruby Harris, Wayne was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After high school, Wayne joined the Navy serving as a Seabee in Vietnam. Wayne was a volunteer fireman with Lake Rim Fire Department for over twenty years, a deputy with the Cumberland County Sheriff department, and a long distance truck driver driving all over the United States. After retiring from Smithfield Packing Company, he relocated to Marianna to be close to family. He is survived by his sister-in-law Virginia "Ginny" Jones Harris, his nephew Butch Harris and wife Susan, niece Dena Harris Ward; and great nephews and nieces Kirsti and Ausband Harris; Brandon and Ryan Hughes; Breanna Reyes, Gentry and Hunter Ward, extended family members of North Carolina and a special friend James Rickards whom he loved as a son. A service will be held at Galatia Presbyterian Church Saturday January 29 at ten-thirty in the morning. All family and friends are welcome.
