Casey Elaine White

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear loved one, Casey Elaine (Ryals) White, age 47, who passed peacefully at home, Wednesday, September 11, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family and fur babies. After a long battle with NASH Liver Disease, Casey came home on hospice care to fulfill her final wish of spending her remaining time at home with loved ones. 

A native Floridian, Casey met Michael White of Chesapeake, Virginia in 2013, the two formed a great relationship, and on June 24, 2017 exchanged vows of marriage. Casey loved the outdoors, traveling with Michael & exploring new places, spending time with family, cooking and baking and was known for her great love of animals, especially horses.

Casey was meticulously cared for by her devoted husband Michael, and her loving mother, Patricia, with the help of VITAS Hospice staff. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, AJ & Marie Ryals; father, Jimmy Ryals; aunt, Letitia Ryals Peacock; sister, Adrienne Jessie Ryals; maternal grandfather, JK Melvin, and beloved bulldogs, “Rocky” & “Roxy”.

She was a beautiful soul with a vibrant smile and a loving heart will be missed.

Left to cherish precious memories are Casey’s husband, Micheal White and beloved fur babies, Buster and Ginger; mother, Patricia Darlene Sallas; maternal grandmother, Sue Hussey; brother, Brian Ryals (Kelly); mother and father-in-law, Beverly & Frankie White; sister-in-law, Nicole Morice-White (Olivia); brother-in-law, Donnie White (Heather); aunt, Denise Melvin; uncle, Kenneth Melvin (Sally); nephews, Aiden Crosby (Nikki) and Zachery Ryals; nieces, Brianna and Gabrielle Shaw and Veloura Jefferson; cousins, DJ and Dustin Walters and Melanie House (Willie).

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Melanie House officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a local animal shelter or ASPCA in Casey’s name.
