Carolyn Lucas

Carolyn Lucas, 82 of Graceville passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Signature Health Care of North Florida following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Graceville with Rev. Dan Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the church 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church P.O. Box 376 Graceville, FL 32440. Ms. Carolyn was born in Bainbridge, GA on November 5, 1926 to the late Ben and Etta West Kirbo. Retired from Kingry's Department Store, Ms. Carolyn was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Katie Beth Hayes. She is survived by five sons Carter "Lattie" Nelson and wife Jean, James "Jimmy" Nelson all of Graceville, Richard "Ricky" Nelson and wife Kathy of Chipley, Harry Lucas and wife Cathi of Portland, OR, Martin Lucas and wife Lisa of Newnan, GA, Evie Rosenthal of Miami, FL; brother Bruce Kirbo and wife Cass of Bainbridge, GA, nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
