Carolyn Tapscott Braswell, 72, a former resident of Grand Ridge died, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at St. Vincent Riverside Medical Center in Jacksonville.
A native of Hartselle, AL., Mrs. Braswell had resided in Grand Ridge since 1970 prior to moving to Middleburg, FL. She retired as an accountant with the State of Florida Department of Corrections. Carolyn was the one to always stop by and would keep up with everyone's birthday. She cared deeply for everyone and was a member of Welcome Assembly of God Church
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Braswell and a sister, Helen Muller.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Parker and wife, Roxanne of Middleburg, Don Braswell and wife, Sherry and Greg Braswell; daughters, Gwendolyn E. Crawford and husband, Tom, Gloria E. Johns and husband, Rick; one brother, Jerry Tapscott and wife, Judy of Ortonville, Mich.; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. (CST) Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Dr. Thomas Batts and Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends at 3 p.m., one hour prior to services at the church.
