Carlette Peacock, 77, of Marianna, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, and deep love for her family and faith.
Born and raised in Grand Ridge, Carlette dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked tirelessly at both Florida State Hospital and Our Lady of Compassion Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, providing comfort and support to those in need. Her passion for service extended far beyond her profession—her adventurous and compassionate spirit led her to volunteer with the Peace Corps in her youth, traveling to Jerusalem to aid those in need. This experience shaped her lifelong commitment to helping others, whether through her career, her church, or her personal relationships.
Carlette’s kindness was not limited to family; she was a loyal and compassionate friend who always made time for those in need. Whether offering a listening ear, a warm meal, or words of encouragement, she had a way of making people feel valued and supported. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her friendships, many of which lasted a lifetime, were a testament to her loving nature.
Carlette was a woman of great faith, finding strength and purpose in her belief. She was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. She is survived by her beloved son, Ben Peacock; daughter-in-law, Tetyana Peacock; and grandsons, Leon and Evan Peacock, whom she adored and spoke of with immense pride. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Johnnie Peacock Roberts and Nellie Riley, and her brothers, Jim and Bruce Peacock.
Carlette’s presence brought warmth and kindness into every space she entered. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched. As she finds eternal rest, she is reunited in heaven with her mother, Susie Peacock and loved ones, awaiting the day she will embrace her family once more.
