James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Carl Edward Smith, 74, of Bonifay died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Smith was born February 12, 1941 in Bonifay, FL to the late Leon and Mattie Lou Smith. Survivors include Jeff B. Smith and friend, Renate Corboy of Branchville, SC; one daughter, Sherrie Twig and husband, Adam of Monks Corn, SC; companion, Peggy Weekley; four brothers, Leon Carthelle Smith and wife, Jo of Bonifay, Jesse Thomas Smith and wife, Willadean of Bonifay, Tommy Smith and wife, Eileen of Starke, FL, and Richard Smith and wife, Robin of Pensacola; three sisters, Rosie King and husband, Joel of Panama City, FL, Mary Lou McDill and husband, Chip of Panama City Beach, FL, Norma Jean Gailey and husband, Mike of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Brynn Smith and Julia Smith; two grandsons, Alex Stevens and Austin Stevens. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Bonifay with Rev. Carson Fender officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Bonifay with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
