Bruce was a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Army and a Cobra gunship commander. He was awarded numerous medals including: 3 distinguished flying crosses, the Bronze Star and an army commendation. He was a self employed farmer and Agriculture pilot and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Hartwell Taylor and Mary Alice Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Terri Taylor of Marianna; three sons, Bruce L. Taylor, Jr. and wife, Lauren, Michael Taylor and wife, Ashley, Jason Taylor all of Birmingham, AL.; two daughters, Andrea Jones of Marianna, Ciara Folsom and husband, Ryan of Dothan, AL.; two brothers, Wendell Taylor and wife, Gail of La Belle, FL., Grady Taylor and wife, Nancy of Marianna; two sisters, Martha Pelham of Tallahassee and Janet Bryan of Bascom; nine grandchildren, Reid, Emily, Anna, Ella, Olivia, Madaline, Grace, Alex, Nate Taylor; Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
