James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446 850-482-2332 Bruce Brantley, 77, of Grand Ridge died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Fort Benning, Ga, retired after more than 20 years with DOT as a maintenance technician, he was also a volunteer fireman with the city of Grand Ridge for more than 24 years. He was a member of Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church where he enjoyed working at the church also with other church related activities. He was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Brantley, his parents, Thomas and Lavada Parker Brantley; two brothers, Bobby and Jim Brantley. He is survived by his wife, Bea Brantley, five sons, Tommy Tharp, and wife, Brenda, of Tallahassee; Billy Brantley and wife, Kim, of Chipley, Andy Tharp and wife, Barbara of Bonifay; Wayne Henderson and wife, Doreen, of Marianna, and Larry Henderson of Grand Ridge; one sister, Joan Deal of Chipley; one sister-in -law, Judy Brantley;15 grandchildren, 12, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Wayne Fussell officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Assembly of God Cemetery near Dellwood. The Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church near Dellwood.
