Brenda Sherrod Burgess, 62, of Sneads died Friday, November 19, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Brenda was born June 8, 1959 in Chattahoochee, FL to the late Edward & Inez Owens Scipper. She worked for more than 15 years with the Dept. of Corrections at ACI and River Junction. She enjoyed working with her flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Danny Alan Sherrod; father of her children,Danny Wayne Sherrod; a special aunt, Blanche Moyd.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher Burgess; sons, Jason Sherrod, Joshua Sherrod and Mikel Patterson; grandchildren, Laila, Ryan and Jayton Sherrod; a brother, Eddie Ray Scipper (Theresa); extended family, a special cousin who she loved as a sister, Susan Burns and special friend, Elaine Shaw all of Sneads.
Funeral services are Scheduled for Wednesday at 3 PM (CST), November 24, 2021 at Sneads Assembly of God in Sneads with Pastor Juno Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Pope Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 4-6 PM CST at Sneads Assembly.
