She was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was employed at Jackson Corrections in Malone. Preceded in death by her grandfather, James Edward Ward of Defuniak Springs; Survivors include her husband, Ricky Peeler of Malone; her sons, Brandon James Whitten of Beaumont, Tx., Tyler Zackery Whitten of Malone, Garrett Mason Hewett of Vernon; daughters, Ashley Nicole Whitten of Malone, Kristian Danielle Ealum of Defuniak Springs; her father, Charles F. Robichaux of Hampshire, Tx., her mother, Cynthia Ward of Beaumont, Tx., one sister, Pam Robichaux of Nederland, Tx.; paternal grandparents, F. G. & Ella Mae Robichaux of Winnie, Tx; maternal grandparents, Louise and Jack Betencourt of Kirbyville, Tx. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 26, from 6-8 p.m. at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Bascom First Baptist Church with Greg Roberts and John Bryan officiating, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends in Kirbyville, Texas Sunday, July 29 at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007 Trout Creek Cemetery in Newton County, Texas.
