Bobby C. McDaniel, 76, of Sneads died Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. McDaniel was a native and lifelong resident of Sneads. He served in the
U. S. Navy for three years, retired from Florida State Hospital as an electrical supervisor. Bobby was an avid syrup maker, collector and restorer of antique tractors and tools. He was a member of Sneads American Legion Post 241 where he served with the military honors squad for a number of years. Mr. McDaniel served on the board of director's of Dykes Cemetery and Southern Syrup Makers Assoc. He was a member of Sneads First United Methodist Church, a church he helped build, where he served in various capacities including board of trustees.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce McDaniel; son, Dennis W. McDaniel and wife, Becky of Sneads; daughter, Melissa L. McDaniel and Karen Daily, of Tallahassee; brother, Charles O. McDaniel, of Sneads; two grandchildren, Hailey & Garrett McDaniel; several nieces and nephews; special lifelong friends, Judy Croft and the late Charlie Croft as well as Willard and Linda Smith.
Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Sneads First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ernie Gray & Rev. Rudy Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Dykes Cemetery with full military honors given by Sneads American Legion Post 241. James & Sikes Funeral Home, Sneads Chapel directing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December, 30, from 5-7 p.m. (CDT) at Sneads First United Methodist Church.
