Billy Joe "Bill" Lowery

Billy Joe "Bill" Lowery, 89, of Greenwood died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in Marianna. A native of Ft. Smith Arkansas Mr. Lowery had resided in Greenwood for the past fifty years, he was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church and a U. S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy T. Lowery. Survivors include his son, Phillip T. Lowery and wife Cynthia of Greenwood; three daughters, Cornelia Davis and husband Kenneth, Glenda Basford and husband Kenneth all of Greenwood and Annette Emerich and husband Guy of Port Charlotte, Fl.; 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Greenwood United Methodist Church with Rev. John Woodrow officiating, burial will follow in the Greenwood Methodist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Maddox Chapel.
