William Roy "Billy" Fussell, 71, of Grand Ridge went to be with Jesus Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
Billy was a native and life long resident of Jackson County. He served in the U.S. Army and was a truck driver by trade. He was Pentecostal by faith and a dedicated follower of Jesus. Billy enjoyed studying the word of God, growing deeper in the presence of God and sharing Jesus to anyone who would listen. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Addie Mae Edenfield Fussell; one son, Joseph "Jo-Jo" Fussell.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fussell; one son, C.J. Fussell; one daughter, Davina Conklin and husband, Tony; one brother, Wayne Fussell and wife, Brenda all of Grand Ridge; one sister, Betty Collins and husband, Ronnie of Jakin, GA; two grandchildren, Breanna Wynn, Mason Roland and his father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Beverly Buege.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church with C.J. Fussell and Wayne Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 at Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church.
