Bryan, 62, of Bascom, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Mr. Bryan was born in Donalsonville, Georgia and lived most of his life in Bascom. Billy sang in The Villagers Band and during his high school and college years he later joined The Ivey Brothers, and finally he joined his brother Gary and sang many years with The Bryan Brothers Quartet. Billy was employed at Chipola Ford and a member of Bascom First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.W. & Maurine Bryan; his sister, Carolyn B. Hagan; brothers, Gary Bryan, William Bryan, Lavon Bryan. Survivors include his wife, Janet Taylor-Bryan; son, Josh Bryan and wife, Jenny of Marianna; daughters, Deza Rae Smith and husband, Clint; Keisha Sunday and husband, Floyd of Bascom; one brother, Waymer Bryan of Graceville; four grandchildren, Dalton & Hannah Smith, Jaxson Sunday & Parker Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Bascom First Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
