James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel William N. "Bill" Jordan, 88 of Marianna, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at his residence with his wife and three daughters at his side. Bill was born in Panama City, FL and grew up in Crosby, AL. He was parts manager for 25 years at Harrison Chevrolet, service manager for seven years at Hopkins Pontiac and was Highway Patrol fleet manager for 11 years at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles when he retired. He has lived the last 60 years in Jackson County, and was an avid freshwater fisherman. He was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 20 years, and he served as a Deacon in Baptist Churches for more than 62 years. Bill was a WWII veteran and was honored to serve in the U. S. Navy. Bill is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Louise Nichols Jordan; three daughters, Sonia Jewell, Carol Brown and husband Charles, Angela Renken and husband, Doug all of Tallahassee; one sister, Miriam Fiveash and husband, Tom of Marianna; mother-in-law, Grady Lou Nichols of Blountstown; six grandchildren, Crystal Collins, Carrie Collins, Michael Brown, Jordan Renken, and Justin Renken all of Tallahassee, Meredith Brown McNamara and husband, Peter of Hoboken, NJ; one great grandchild, Lillian Jane McNamara. Services will be at 11 am Monday, May 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Marianna with Rev. Luther Pumphrey and Dr. Mark Long officiating. Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, on Monday, May 19, 2014. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday, May 18, 2014 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Smith-Kelly Post 100, or to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna, FL.
