William Walter "Bill" Everitt, 48, of Bascom, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at his residence.
Bill was born in Melbourne and moved to Marianna in 1985. He graduated from Marianna High School, then joined the U S Navy where he served for 12 years. He then returned to the Marianna area and started working with Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, where he was a computer Systems Analyst. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bascom.
Survived by his wife, Becky Grantham Everitt; two sons, Dustin & Sean Everitt; his parents, Charles & Rose Mary Everitt; his grandmother, Mary Ann Barnett; sister, Ann Marie Shelton (Bill), all of Bascom; sister, Jennifer Simonetti (Frank) of Stokesdale, NC; father-in-law, & mother-in-law, Charles & Juanita Grantham, of Marianna; host of nieces & nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bascom with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the Activities Center at First Baptist Church of Bascom. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 4951 Basswood Road, Bascom, Florida 32423; Chipola Amateur Radio Club; Chipola Area Autism Resource Center.
