Bill Davis

William R. "Bill" Davis, 73, of Marianna died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2007, at Maddox Chapel with Rev. L.B. "Cap" Pooser officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Parramore Community with full military honors. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Thursday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Mr. Davis was an Air Force/Army veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Davis was the son of the late Ralph and Lucile Brogdon Davis of Marianna. He is survived by his former wife Alta M. Davis of Palatka; step daughter, Jaymane Dunn and her husband, Ron, of Ft. McCoy; one brother, Dr. Charles Davis and wife, Adela, of Waycross, Ga.; two sisters,, Vivian Davis of New Orleans, La., Edith Whidden and husband, Bill, of Marianna. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
