Betty Sue Weeks

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Mrs. Betty Sue Weeks, 71, of Sneads, FL went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2015 at 7:03 a.m. She had resided in Jackson County for most of her life. Mrs. Weeks was retired from Chattahoochee Elementary School where she was employed in food services. Mrs. Weeks was an amazing woman known and loved by all and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, JR Weeks; her parents, Fred and Carolina Bassett. Survivors include her three children, Cynthia (John) Cloud of Sneads, Andy (Sheila) Blount of Chattahoochee, Christy Weeks of Sneads; four brothers, Bobby (Barbara) Bassett of Pensacola, John (Euglenia) Bassett of Tallahassee, Jim (Keri) Bassett of Chattahoochee, Scott (Kathy) Bassett of Lakeland; one sister, Carol Carter of Tallahassee; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Emmanuel Holiness Church with Sister Eva Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnydell Cemetery in Gretna, FL., with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
