Betty M. Chambliss

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Betty M. Chambliss, 61, of Marianna, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Tallahassee. Betty was born in Marianna on December 26, 1951 where she lived her entire life. Mrs. Chambliss was a member of Lighthouse Community Church and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Jeter, a son, Chris Chambliss; and sister, Myrtice Moats. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Chambliss; son, Lonnie Douglas Chambliss, and wife, Melinda, of Tallahassee; daughter, Shelia Haddock, and husband, James, of Alford;mother, Nancy Owens; two brothers, Ronnie Jeter of Marianna, and Carl Jeter of Gainesville; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Frances Dudley officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bascom with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home in Marianna.
