Betty Sue "Granny" Capshaw

Betty Sue "Granny" Capshaw, 79, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home. A native of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Capshaw had resided in Jackson County for the past 40 years, she was an avid gardener and known for her day lilies. Survivors include three sons, Norman Capshaw of Grand Ridge, Steven Capshaw of OK and William Capshaw of Marianna; three daughters, Patricia Pitts and husband Johnny of Milton, FL, Karen Whitaker of Dothan and Paula Perry and husband Hurley of Marianna; one sister, Mary Littleton of TN; 31 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Maddox Chapel. Interment will follow at Cottondale Methodist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends after 12 noon Sunday until funeral time at Maddox Chapel. "
