Betty Jean Burch

Betty Jean Burch, 72, of Marianna died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. She was a native of Memphis, Tn., lived in Jackson County since 1974 where she served as a pink lady at Jackson Hospital for several years. Ms. Burch was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristy Gale Pope; father of her children, Lawrence Edward Pope; Survivors include two sons, Glenn Pope and wife Debra of Va., Ronald Pope and wife, Suzanne of Dothan; three daughters, Deborah Pope and fiance', Mickey Perkins of Clarksville, Brenda Vanginneken and fiance' Ryan Carter of Greenwood, Cristal Dawn Burch of Georgia; three grandchildren, Erica VanGinneken, Karl Lawrence and Sammy Bloodgood; Special friends, Frances Bates (her sugar), Monique Venness (darling); special thanks to pastor Robert Castillo; Emerald Coast Hospice; Dr. John A. Spence and Jackson Hospital. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 10 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gino Mayo officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
