Bettie U. Griffin

Bettie Griffin, 83, of Marianna died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Jackson Hospital. Bettie was born in Thomaston, GA in July of 1932. She had resided in Jackson County for the past 27 years after living in Kokoma, Indiana where her husband retired from the Chrysler Automotive Company. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Garner and her father, Bennie L. Garner, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Edward D. Griffin; two daughters, Dyan Thomason and Cynthia Day; three grandchildren, Lee Till, Stephany Walker and Danielle Day; seven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Lynne Garner; three nephews and one niece. Memorial services will be at 7 pm, Monday, August 3, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Cottondale with Rev. Chris Franklin officiating. Memoralization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until service time, Monday, August 3, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Cottondale.
