Benita Sue Wages, 60, died Monday, January 3, 2022, at Jackson Hospital.
She was born January 11, 1961, in Bonifay, Florida to James and Dorothy Amerson. She lived most of her life in Grand Ridge and worked for over 30 years as a nurse. Benita was always taking care of people. More than anything, she loved her family and the Lord.
Benita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Amerson; uncle, Coy Amerson and her grandparents.
She is survived by three sons, James and Danielle Walker, Jason and Tina Walker and Bryan Thomason; six granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; sister, Anna Cannon; brothers, Jim Amerson, and Daryl Amerson.
Memorialization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
