Born in Edgecomb County, North Carolina, Rebecca has lived in Marianna for the past 53 years. She worked with her husband, Walter, at Quality Hardware as a book keeper and clerk for over 40 years before closing the store in 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Marianna where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher for 43 years, teaching three year olds. She was preceded in death by parents Martha Blanch and Benjamin Wooten, and her sisters Martha Wooten and Rachael Stalls. Other family members include Doris and Vern Bergstrum, Bryan Wiggins, Bill Wiggins, Anita Reid, Melvin Stalls, Edna Wiggins, Kenneth Funderburk, Fred Ward, Nelson Sellers, and Phillip Hodnett. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter Wiggins; sons and daughters-in-law Charlene and Stuart Wiggins, Tanya and Bryan Wiggins; and five grandchildren: Amanda Wiggins, Bryan "Bo" Wiggins, Christin Wiggins, Sam Wiggins, and Ben Wiggins. Other family includes Sue and Bob Reid, Jean Wiggins, Kent Wiggins, Elsielene Hodnett, Ann Wiggins and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church Marianna at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 29, 2009 with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Directing.
