Barbara Sue Henderson, 91, of Marianna, Florida passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Jackson Hospital. She was born July 21, 1932 to the late James Nathaniel Lipford, Sr. and Nellie Marie Griffin Lipford.
She was a hard worker and worked for Warner Brothers Sewing Factory where she retired after 20 years. Barbara loved the Lord and was always very involved in her church, and most recently a member at New Salem Baptist Church. Teaching Sunday school for 52 years and leading music were just two of the ways she served during her life. Barbara was always family-oriented and cherished every moment she got to spend with her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James Nathaniel and Nellie Lipford, Sr.; husband, Henry Caine and brothers, James N. Lipford, Jr., Rufus Fletcher Lipford.
Her survivors include her husband, John Henderson; son, Henry Victor Caine, Jr. (Carol) of Dothan, AL; daughters, Debra Johnson (Rick), Sandra Watford (William) all of Cottondale; son, Johnny Henderson (Helen) of Chicago, IL, daughter, Janice Edwards (Bobby) of Hoyleton, IL, and son, Jeff Henderson (Jodi), of Centralia, IL; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jamie Lipford, Curtis Lipford, and Daniel Lipford.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, CDT, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Revs. Glenn Dunham and Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
