Ausband Franklin "Frank" Harris

Ausband Franklin "Frank" Harris Sr., 67 of Marianna, died Thursday, March 11, 2010. Frank was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He graduated from Pembroke State College in 1966. Frank managed various Woolco stores throughout the southeast before relocating to Jackson County in 1982 where he was the Manager of F.W. Woolworth. Following his retirement from Woolworth, Frank worked in real estate for several years. Frank enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He made many contributions to the town of Marianna and will be missed by many. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years Virginia "Ginny" Jones Harris, his son Butch Harris and wife Susan, one daughter Dena Harris Ward and husband Randy; nephew Jay Chabot and wife Nancy; nephew Zachary Wood and wife Nicole; niece Alexandra Baggett and husband Matt; niece Taylor Barnhill; his brother Cecil Wayne Harris; and grandchildren Kirsti and Ausband Harris; Brandon and Ryan Hughes; Breanna Reyes, Gentry and Hunter Ward, Jacob and Jonathan Chabot; Cue and Thatcher Wood; Addison Hodges and Brylee Baggett; extended family members of North Carolina and lifelong friend Donald Lindsay of Raeford, North Carolina. Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm and the memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 13th at the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna with Pastor Huw Christopher officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Florida Elk's Charities or the Panama City Rescue Mission.
