Ashley Taylor Baxter, age 39, of Malone, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
He was born on April 1, 1982 in Dothan, Alabama. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a 2000 graduate of Malone High School. In 2013 he earned an AA degree from Chipola College and in 2015, a BA degree in Christian Counseling from the Baptist College of Florida. He started working for the Department of Corrections in 2018, and loved music, playing the guitar and was a talented artist.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Odis and Bishie Baxter of Bascom Florida, and maternal grandparents, Rozell and Jeanette Taylor of Malone Florida.
He is survived by his loving parents, Ted and Charlotte Baxter, his loving sister, Valerie Baxter, aunt, Mary Carol (Rusty) Murdock, cousins, Marcy Murdock, Kyndal (Clay) Schuler and their children Charley, Seth and Silas Schuler all of Malone, Florida.
Funeral service will be at 10AM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Gary French and Rev. Danny Sumerlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Friendship Baptist Church.
