Arvin Scurlock

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Walter Arvin Scurlock, 91, of Cottondale died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence. Arvin was born February 14, 1924 in Southport, FL. He grew up and lived most of his life in Cottondale enjoying a lifetime of farming. Mr. Scurlock attended Carmel Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Scurlock in 2012; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by three sons, Don Scurlock and wife, Veleta, Mike Scurlock and wife, Marcella, Eddie Scurlock and wife, Iris; daughter, Margaret Hatcher all of Cottondale; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Carmel Assembly Of God Church, Bonifay, Florida with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating, Interment will follow in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery near Cottondale with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.
