Arthur W. Henderson

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Arthur W. Henderson, 93, of Marianna, died Friday, September 21, 2012, at Marianna Health and Rehab. Mr. Henderson was born in Decatur County, Georgia, but was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, Mr. Henderson taught school in Jackson County in the early 40's. He was a wood worker for many years, loved to travel and was an avid Seminole. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Willis and Jessie Henderson; wife, Louise Henderson; brothers Otway Henderson and Lloyd Henderson; sisters, Della Exum and Lucille Pittman. Survivors include son, Ronald Henderson and wife Lynda of Blountstown; four daughters, Jeanne Harris and husband Drexal of Tallahassee, Pamela Hamm and husband Michael of Quincy, Ginger Kelly and husband James of Cairo, Georgia and Sandy Medlock and husband Donald of Niceville; three brothers, John Henderson of Tallahassee, Jack and Ann Henderson of Crawfordville, Jim and Carol Henderson of Maitland; one sister Barbara and husband, Avery Scott of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Ray Henderson of Blountstown, Mathew Eldridge of Quincy, Hunter Harris and Jennifer Henderson of Tallahassee, Anne Harden of Sopchoppy, Dana Harvey of Crawfordville, Neil Medlock and John Medlock of Niceville; seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11am Monday, September 24, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Free Will Baptist Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
