She was a native of Dale County, Alabama. Lived most of her life in Jackson County. Mrs. Mayo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Genous R. Mayo, Sr.; one grandson, Blake Dean. She is survived by her loving family; one daughter, Glenda Lyn Mayo; four sons, Larry Dean and wife, Nancy, Bill Dean and wife, Brenda, all of Marianna; Greg Dean and wife, Wanda of Birmingham, Al., Gino Mayo and wife, Susie of Marianna; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bobbie Wiggins of Eufaula, Al; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Sunday, March 9, at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gino Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
