She departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson Co, a 1938 graduate of Greenwood High School, and retired from The Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee FL.. She married Ray Melvin Folsom September 15, 1939 and they were happily married for 70 years until her death. A dedicated Christian and a member of The Dellwood Baptist Church. She served as a devoted Sunday School Teacher and as the Church Clerk/Treasurer for many years until her sickness prevented her from attending church. She is pre-deceased by both parents, a infant daughter Nan Sandra Folsom, brothers, B.W. and Howell Cloud, and sisters, Eunice Mercer, Ada Mae Jones, Jeffie Jackson, and Nellie Brunson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years Ray M. Folsom , One daughter Jan and husband Bobby Cook, two sons Jerry Folsom, and Jimmy Folsom and wife Linda all of Grand Ridge , a sister Wilma Daniels ,and a brother James (Betty) Cloud of Grand Ridge and Charles Wayne (Betty) Cloud of Port St Joe FL., sister-in-law's Lillie Cloud of Grand Ridge and Loette Howell of Chattahoochee. Brother in laws, Jack (Mary Ann) Folsom of San Diego, CA, Lige (Betty) Folsom Ft White FL, Alvin (SueNell) Folsom and Dallas (Betty) Folsom all of Albany GA, Austin (Dot) Folsom Moultrie GA, Clyde Folsom, Ocala FL. Also, survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Beloved to her were her six grand children , Gary Folsom (Leann) , Ken Folsom (Amanda), Tanya Anderson (Jeff), Kristie Hall (Jody). Eric Cook (Stephanie), Anna Scott (Chad). Great -grandchildren, Ashlee Folsom (Clint), Cessna Folsom, Aerial Folsom, Jacob Hall, , Jennilynn Hall, Joshua Folsom, Jolie Ann Hall, Georgia Rai Scott, Brady Anderson, Jimmy Ray Folsom, Carrington Scott, and Savannah Cook. One step great-granddaughter Marissa One great grand granddaughter Anslee Grace Kelly. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, at Dellwood Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Daniels & Jack Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Flowers accepted ot memorials may be made to Dellwood Baptist Church Building Fund.
