Margie “Ann” Varnadore, 80, of Marianna went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Jackson Hospital.
Ann went by many names. She was known as “Ms. Ann” while serving as the Assistant Clerk for the Town of Malone. She was known as “Aunt Ann” to her host of nieces and nephews, but her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Granny Ann”. Ann loved cooking for her friends and family, spending time in the garden, going to the beach with her family, eating at Red Lobster, and attending Lovedale Baptist Church.
Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, Hamilton and Leverna Pearce, her brothers JW, Talmadge, and Buck, and her sisters, Jeanette and Joleen.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Laramore (Doyle), her son, Rodney Varnadore, her granddaughters Ashlee Laramore and Maci Varnadore, her sisters, Helen Caughran and Martha Hutchinson (Joe), and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the heroes at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center and Jackson Hospital for the love and care of Ann.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 26 at 2:00 pm at Lovedale Baptist Church. Brother Thomas Anderson will be officiating, interment will follow in Lovedale Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at Lovedale Baptist.
