Anita Harris

Anita Gail Harris, 60, of Malone, FL, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on March 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 22, 1964, in Palatka, FL, the youngest of four daughters to Robert and Lois Harris.

She is survived by her daughter, Courtney Kenny and son-in-law Chris, as well as her three precious granddaughters, whom she adored and she cherished her role as their Gigi. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois, and her beloved sister. She leaves behind numerous family members who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Anita was a woman of many passions. She had a special gift for gardening and was known for her green thumb, nurturing her plants and flowers with love and care. Her love for nature extended to her love of the beach and the mountains, where she found peace and joy in the beauty of the world.

Anita enjoyed spending time in Hope, Grace, and Faith Chapel, where she found comfort and strength. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found solace in the love of her family around her.

As we mourn her passing, we also rejoice knowing that she is now pain-free and reunited with the loved ones who passed on before her. Anita's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A private family memorial will be held in her honor.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice in her memory.
