Alton “Bo” Bailey Parris, 67, of Marianna, Florida, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Jackson Hospital.
He was born September 18, 1955 in Marianna to Alton and Francis Parris. There was no doubt that Alton loved his parents, but he especially loved his mama. Through school, Alton played football which started his love of sports. Anyone who knew Alton knew especially loved his Florida Gators. During the summer he enjoyed spending time at the beach, but his favorite time of year was football season.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Parris, Jr. and Francis Stone Parris.
Alton is survived by his life partner, Glenda Retherford; siblings, Anne Tollard (Harry Waggener), Kathy Jackson (Roger), Jimmy Parris (Vickie), and Carol Neel (Warren); his children, Michael Parris (Tara), Corey Parris, and Jocelyn Parris; along with many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other loving family.
Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
