Alice Mae Hewett, 54, of Marianna, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.
She was a native of Donalsonville, Georgia and she resided in Jackson County for most of her life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie B. Smith; father, Elwood Smith; and her brother, Dallas Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Doyle Hewett of Marianna; two sons, Scotty Hewett (Karisma) of Marianna and Devin Hewett (Cameron) of Tennessee; three daughters, Shanna Hewett (George Yeatman) of Altha, Michelle Root (Michael) of Colorado, and Jennifer Welch (Derek) of Bascom; step mother, Mary Smith Provost of Bascom; one brother, Randall Smith (Mary) of Marianna; two sisters, Dorothy Bragg of Marianna and Willie Kay Hallford (Walter) of Marianna; five grandchildren, Raylee Hewett, Destiny Cook, Kaydence Hewett, Korbyn Hewett, and Shyann Yeatman; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Interment will follow in Bascom United Methodist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
