He was born in Winter Garden, Fl.; and served 14 years in the US Navy as a training device specialist. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Annie Jewell Roney; brother, Robert L. Roney; sister, Barbara N. Lee and daughter Bonita Ann Roney. Survivors include his brother, Alfred E. Roney, Sr. and wife Nena, ex-wife Janice Roney, son, Larry Roney and daughter Denise Roney, several neices and nephews, Liz Edington and husband, John, Brenda Roney, Debbie Roney Smith and husband Sonny, Alfred Roney, Jr. and wife Jennifer; great-neice and nephews, Nena White, Joey Williams, David Beckom, Jared, Kyle and Benjamin Roney and his beloved cat. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Wright officiating. Graveside will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 1 p.m. EDT in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Winter Park with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
