James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Albert Ellis Jolley, 83, of Auburndale, FL, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Highlands Lake Center Nursing Home, Lakeland, FL. A native of Odum, GA, Mr. Jolley lived in Jackson County for 31 years before moving to Auburndale, FL in 2002. He retired from Burt Williams Construction Company in 1996 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. He was a faithful member and deacon of Alford Baptist Church, Alford, FL and Lena Vista Baptist Church, Auburndale, FL. He was a true man of God, a man of his word, and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Faye Jolley, his brother, Y.L. Jolley, and his parents, Albert Everett and Florence Allen Jolley. Survivors include his two sons, Dana Jolley and wife, Cathy, of Asheville, NC and Keith Jolley of Cottondale; his two daughters, Gayle Lashley of Auburndale, FL and Reva Reynolds and husband, Craig, of Cottondale. Mr. Jolley had 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at James and Sikes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Alford Baptist Church, Alford, FL with Bro. Bob Johnson and Bro. Joey Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at Alford Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home directing.
