Adell Robinson

December 13, 1929 — July 19, 2016

Adell McCord Robinson, 86, of Malone went to her eternal home on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

A native of Cottonwood, AL, Ms. Robinson had resided in Jackson County for the past 51 years where she was employed by the Jackson County School Board. Ms. Adell was a beloved baker in the Malone School cafeteria until her retirement. She spent her life caring for her friends and family as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister. In her spare time, she was honored to be a member and an officer of the Malone Joy Club and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Malone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guber Robinson; brothers Clarence McCord, Floyd McCord, Luther McCord, and Volie McCord; sisters, Vada Wilson, Jessie Tidwell, Estelle Richards, and Della Cherry; her parents, William and Dessie McCord.

Survivors include one daughter, Sonia McCoy and husband, Tom of Marianna, FL; one son, PeeWee Robinson of Bascom, FL; one granddaughter, Holli Fears, and husband Chad of Jacksonville, FL; two grandsons, Jeremy Crawford and wife, Allison of Grand Ridge, FL and Austyn Robinson of Ashford, AL; two great-granddaughters, Adeley and Elizabeth Fears of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m.. Friday, July 22, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Malone with Brother Juno Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.. to 8 p.m.. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
